Section B is not a test of legal knowledge. It asks whether you can form a view, organise reasons and communicate them clearly.

Choose a position you can defend

The strongest answer is not always the most dramatic one. Pick the position that gives you clear reasons, useful examples and room to answer a serious objection.

Plan the argument before the prose

Write down your claim, two or three reasons and the strongest challenge to them. That gives each paragraph a job before you start drafting.

Edit for clarity

Use the final part of the sitting to remove repetition, repair loose sentences and make sure the conclusion answers the question you chose.

Keep the preparation focused: answer the wording of the question, give each paragraph one purpose, and read the finished essay once before time ends.
